What a silly thing to ask, right? Of course you need traffic – if you want to do just about anything online, you need traffic. No matter whether you run an online shop, a review site, or even just a  simple blog, traffic is what you’ll want. And lots of it. This short Place Your Link review will look into the question of what can it do for you in order to get traffic.

Place Your Link

Why do you need traffic?

Quite simple – and I’m sure you already know it – if there’s noone coming to your shop, there will be no buyers. And no buyers means no earnings for you. As simple as that.

Is any traffic good enough?

Well, not really. It depends somewhat on your targets, of course. If you’re running a blog, let’s say about gardening, you’ll want people interested in petunias. If you’re monetising your blog with Adsense, it matters less who visits, because Google itself will make sure they see the right ads to click on them. They do it by knowing people’s interests. Don’t ask me how they know it, but they do. About me and you too, should you ask.

But if you’re running an online store or an affiliate review site, you’ll want your traffic to be much more targeted. Meaning, you’ll want as may of the visitors as possible to be proven online buyers of the type of goods you’re selling and/or reviewing. And this is where things become interesting, because bringing the most interested  buyers inside your store is an art, really. Or, at least, it could be a very expensive thing to do. But if they’re really interested, you can safely assume you’ll earn enough to cover the costs and then some. Which, of course, is your target.

Should you care about paid advertising to get traffic?

Yes. I firmly believe this is one of the best ways to get exactly the traffic you want, provided that you do it correctly. It can be a very bad experience though, because money runs really fast if you make a mistake. In the end, it depends on your budget, how much you’re willing to learn, and the tools you use.

We are already in the field of marketing and paid advertising, and we don’t really want to go there right now. If you’re interested in this (personally, I believe you should be), take a look at a few of the marketing tools that can greatly help you in that.

What Place Your Link is all about

Successful marketers have many resources that us, mere mortals, do not. Among these there are huge numbers of contacts that they have accumulated over the years, usually a number of websites, and big email lists. These lists usually consist of people interested in their niche, so they are the people we want to contact, too.

Sometimes, these marketers decide to give access to some of the traffic that their resources are generating – be it blogs or email campaigns. And if you’re operating in the same niche, this could be a great push to your own marketing efforts. What they tipically do is let you publish a guest post, do an email blast on your behalf, or maybe put your ad on their website. Each of these containing your money link, of course. Such actions have great effect, of course, because they use their authority to tell their followers your link is trustworthy. You could gain lots from such cooperations.

But usually, these things don’t come cheap. It’s not unusual for people to charge hundreds of dollars for a time-limited ad displayed on their site, and even more for a mailing campaigns. In the end, paying anywhere from $1 to over $10 for a single click on your link is easily a reality.

Place Your Link has a similar, but different approach

What the author of Place Your Link is using is similar, but not entirely. Basically, he is using a link rotator to offer you traffic. If you’re not sure what link rotator is: there’s a queue of links inside, and each time it’s displayed, the next link from the queue is used. So if there are 100 of links in the queue, every 100th click will be redirected to your particular link. Following the same math and assuming the website has 5,000 visitors daily, your link will be active for at least 50 of them. The result? Some of these 50 visitors will click it, bringing you much needed targeted traffic.

Additionally, the vendor is adding in what he’s calling “an email rotator”: the links you place will be used in daily mailings to his lists, when they’re bound to according to the queue. So, additionally to the above, your link gets mailed to his database once every 100 days as the deal of the day, plus between this according to the websites schedules.

The available resources

The vendor is running 25 websites, all in the make money online niche, plus a few Facebook groups. He has published over 40 products dealing with web traffic in the past few years and reached over 30k in monthly online revenues. His personal mailing list consists of almost 30,000 people, and all of them are directly interested in this niche. Therefore, they are ideal targets for your marketing also, provided you’re in the make money online (MMO) niche also.

Each of these websites will rotate your link, and each of the contacts in his email list will receive it. Need I say more?

The costs: Place Your Link review

Like already mentioned, offers like this can get expensive, especially if you’re on a low budget. You can still do a solo-ad for $100, but it will bring you up to 200 visits and that’s it. Place Your Link promises to extend this by a mile, because it’s practically an evergreen solution. Your links will stay in the rotator for years and continue to bring traffic to your website.

Place Your Link is available for a really funny price: $12,95. For this price, you’re getting what I have described above – one link in the rotator and mailing inside the deal-of-the-day queue. This alone can bring hundreds of visits to your link every month. Let’s not forget, these will be highly targeted clicks from the people that already expressed their interest in your goods. They will be much easier to sell to than the cold traffic you could get from a Facebook post.

Tip: in the time of writing this, there’s a coupon included that brings all of these on the table for mere $9.99. Look for it.

Why is this so cheap?

Honestly, I’m not sure. The vendor says it’s time to give something back to the public, and it’s ok to believe him. I’ll take his word. As a matter of fact, I did already – I’ve bought the FE and OTO1, the Pro version. Read more about it below.

My personal experience with Place Your Link

I have bought the FE (basic) offer and added the Pro version from the funnel. What the Pro version adds is the possibility to publish 5 more links, so 6 in total. For the price offered, I believe it’s a bargain.

The process of placing your link is fairly simple. Dawud did not complicate, so all you have to do is send him his link via a comment on a hidden page. This gets checked, and if the link is ok, it gets input into the rotator. There are some rules here that are clear, of course, like no porn links and so on. Which is why every placed link is checked before publishing. I think it’s ok, there’s already too much spam online in any case. It can take a day or so, though, so don’t count on seeing the traffic in a minute after posting.

In two days since I’ve posted my first link, I’ve seen 6 visits (zero on day 1). These visits brought me 2 subscribers to my MMO list, and they will go through my autoresponder sequence, hopefully buying something I’m promoting on the way. Of course, this is hardly a life-changin success, but hey, it’s only been a day. The fact that I have a 33% optin rate proves to me that the visits are targeted. And I’m counting on more. 🙂

So far, in a day, I’ve reached a cost of $23.50 per subscriber, and it’s expensive and far from ideal. But it will improve fast, I’m sure, and to reach a “normal” cost of under $2 per subscriber I only have to get 21 more. Assuming that things will continue working with roughly the same tempo, I should be there by the weekend or so. Everything after that is already far below the normal cost of acquiring subscribers, and there will most probably be some sales in between. I’m pleased so far.

What you have to be careful about when using Place Your Link

For one, the links you place CANNOT BE CHANGED. Read that again: when you place your link, it will stay there.

It’s upon you to make it an evergreen link, or a link you can change yourself, with a help of a plugin (like Smart Links) or a specialised SAAS solution if you have an account already. This way, you can switch your offer should you need to, if the vendor removes an offer you’re promoting, for instance. Be careful, this is very important, and Dawud mentions it many times inside the training.

Personally, I’m using a WordPress plugin called Smart Links; it allows me to create a link and specify the target URL. And, of course, I can change it whenever I need to, which solves the above problem. I can also specify the trailing part of the url when calling it, which gives me more statistics about the clicks. Not perfect, but does the job, and for a very reasonable price of only $27. It also serves as a functional link cloaker, so you can actually share these links on platforms like Facebook, where direct affiliate links are not allowed. Take a look.

You can also use other solutions, even Pretty Links does the job, but the free version is a little poor on the statistics side. There are of course many pro solutions for this, but not for tiny budgets.

How to best use Place Your Link for passive income

While you can input just about any link you want (with normal exceptions, like porn etc), you might want to consider something.

The link you place can be a direct link to an affiliate offer or your bonus page, of course. But I think a better way is to create an optin page (squeeze page) with something of value that you can give out to the public. After subscribing, you should redirect the visitor to the bonus page or whatever you want. This way, you’ll get a more targeted subscriber to your email list, and you can let them go through your campaigns automatically. Within this campaign you should present the value of what you’re selling, plus give them more value (either useful information or more free downloads) to gain trust.

This way, your link will really get a life of its own and you’ll reach automation. And believe me, there’s nothing better than doing things once and benefiting many times without any extra work. This is called passive income.

For this to work in the first place, you’ll need an autoresponder – a piece of software that will take care of your emailing for you. It’s a whole story behind that and we’ll not enter it here. You might have it already anyhow. If you don’t, take a look at Sendiio and Aweber (free but limited account available). And do it asap.

Place Your Link Review – Summary

I believe in simple solutions. I always had. And Place Your Link is an example of a simple solution, helping people fix the most troubling problem online, getting traffic. The pricing is nothing less than ridiculous, at least for now, and even no results can only bring a small loss, compared to a wrongly set Facebook ad campaign. But the results are already visible, and I’m happy so far.

I strongly recommend you take at least the OTO 1 (Pro version), because 6 links will bring you much more visits that a single one. And if you’re on a lazy way to success, OTO 4 (DFY) is a great opportunity. You’ll need to purchase Commission Gorilla for it to work, true, but what you’ll get is 156 done-for-you bonus campaigns (3 per week for a year), along with all the bonuses, that can make you lots and lots of passive earnings in the coming years.

In short, there seems to be absolutely no reason so far to not invest these $10. Go for it.

We are in affiliate business with many of the vendors who's products we mention here and write reviews about, which means we could get a certain commission from them should you buy their product via our links. We are however not connected to them in any other way, nor we receive any special commissions for making good reviews. We try to hold our opinion fair and honest, giving you both the ups and downs where we see them. Everything written here is our own opinion and assessment of the possibilities that software provides.
